My husband was a resident of Mangrove Bay Memory Care for a year. I highly recommend this facility for their professional, caring, and compassionate staff. He received excellent care and they provided me with a kindness that I will be forever grateful for. Resident are treated as special people and care is tailored to the individual. Make this facility top on your list when looking for memory care.

I Visited This Facility
Mangrove Bay was quite pricey and a little bit smaller than the other places. I only saw one group of women at a table and I didn't see hardly anybody else around. The rooms were very nice though. The place was very nice, but I felt that there wasn't a lot going on that day, and I would have thought there'd be a lot going on since it was Independence Day. It was very pretty and well-kept, but it just didn't seem like there was enough going on. Their dining looked really nice and I liked the layout. It was almost too subtle and I didn't see enough people out and about, which worried me.

I Visited This Facility
I like Mangrove Bay. It's a good location. The place is light and bright. They have a pool too. The one-bedroom apartment is spacious, light, and nicely decorated. It has a terrace, a full kitchen, a bedroom, a living room, closet space, and a nice bathroom. There's a washer and dryer in the apartment, too. Everything is included. The people are very good and very pleasant. They serve continental breakfast and dinner. You get an allowance for your dinner. They have a café where you can get sandwiches or salad at lunchtime, so you don't have to go out and you don't have to cook.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
My Mother has been living at Mangrove Bay Assisted Living since 2011. As an only child looking after her in this phase of her life- I am forever thankful I have the staff at Mangrove Bay to depend on. The staff is as beautiful as are the amazing surroundings. It's one thing walking into this place- it looks like a Ritz Carlton hotel, but the staff surpasses even that. The Director, Kathy Wise, has always been there for both myself and my Mother. She always responds to emails and questions with kindness and compassion. The support staff, including the nurse manager Joi and Director Shawna are equally compassionate. If not for Kathy and her staff, the stress level I was sustaining before I moved Mom there (from another AL) was at the point where I was not taking good care of myself anymore- how can I be there for my Mom when I am so distraught? Moving Mom to Mangrove Bay was the best decision I have ever made in my Mom's behalf. I am able to get up each day knowing she is happy, safe, and cared for by wonderful people. I was not able to find that at the other places that had cared for her before coming here. Thank you Mangrove Bay, Kathy and all the staff. You have rescued not only my Mom, but me as well. Bless all of you.
